All new participants start here. An initial music therapy consultation is a collaborative session to explore your individual needs, goals, and how music can help. The therapist will guide you through relevant music methods to assess your needs and provide you with any future recommendations. This initial session is suitable for all ages and abilities, offering a safe space for collaboration, discovery and creativity

Weekly 50 minutes face-to-face OR Telehealth online session, 10 minutes non-face-to-face supports, plus travel time
Music therapy facilitated in your home environment is our most common support service. It can assist by maintaining that sessions are easily accessible and familiar for your ongoing support. Home visits allow the therapist to practically adapt music therapy methods to suit your space and create a collaborative plan that you can replicate to manage day-to-day tasks outside of session time
Online sessions can be a great way to access music therapy support from the comfort of your own home, especially if you are an international or rural participant. The benefits of online sessions also include use of music technology such as songwriting/music-making programs. Sessions may also be more visually interactive through back and forth collaboration with your therapist

Comprehensive written report to support NDIS plan reviews or reassessments. Includes assessment of progress made towards goals and objectives throughout the plan period, current needs, interventions, and future recommendations
Any meetings with other support team members (including allied health professionals, psychiatrists/psychologists, representatives, etc) are only scheduled with participant/representative consent
Music therapy is a funded support under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
It is listed under Capacity Building - Improved Daily Living
Note - you do not have to be an NDIS participant to access Music Therapy services.
Privately funded participants are also welcome.

Travel is charged in accordance with the NDIS 2025–2026 Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits, based on the participant’s Modified Monash Model (MMM) location.
Travel is calculated using the most direct route via Google Maps and is invoiced separately from session time. In line with NDIS requirements, travel is charged at no more than 50% of the agreed hourly service rate, using the designated “Provider Travel” line item.
